Hello, My name is Krash. Since 2000 I have been on a personal mission
to restore and return The Palomar  Mountain Lodge to its former glory
as a Classic American Lodge. The Lodge is a famous little place on top of
Palomar Mountain in California,U.S.A. It has been in service for Family
Weekends,Church/Spiritual Retreats,Romantic Getaways,Star
Watchers,Writers,Singers,Poets and Movie Stars, hosted many Theatrical
Events,Community Fund raisers and Seasonal Parties,since the 1920's.
 In April 2007 The Lodge became available for purchasing and I quickly
accepted the responsibility to once again serve Fresh Country Style
Food  and provide Lodge Style Sleeping Rooms to the many visitors
who come to the mountain for it's fresh air,artesian springs,abundant
wildlife,hiking trails,fishing, views of the San  Diego city lights/beaches
and the world famous Hale Telescope only a few miles away from The
Lodge. At that time I signed on  for protecting the lodge ,the Zoning was
in the process of being "down zoned" to residential only. The County Of
San Diego required proof that The Lodge Had such History as a
restaurant/hotel.By spending a bit of time and energy. Letters were
collected and these statements proved the history of this fine
establishment. The Grandfather Clause is alive and strong,but it doesn't
protect The Lodge from needing to meet building code requirements.
Much of the restoration/repair work has been done. Including some of
the new commercial appliances,electrical,plumbing,bedrooms,lodge
art,decorations,health hazards,clean-up,windows etc. Have also spent a
lot of time marketing the Lodge as opening again. We are only $50,000
away from staying on  track and reopening soon. Due to the economic
climate and my financial history of paying cash my whole life. Instead of
using credit cards I was raised by my Grandfather to be able to do a lot
with a little and a lot of hard work. I am constantly being turned down
from banks for loans now. I have always tried to earn money not
borrow money,But now I am  pressed to explore other options. Help
Save The Lodge from being another  faceless franchised/corporate
business. Let's keep it a get away for All people who want an
affordable, independent, oddly unique place to go. If you have a Dollar
